We appreciate your support as we continue to revive this local landmark property in the scenic White Mountains of New Hampshire. Thanks to all you guests and community fans who’ve hung in there with us on this journey to reclaim The Lancaster Motel’s former glory and re-establish its connection to our local community.

WHAT'S NEW?

The property is still a work in progress but here’s what we’ve done so far: Upgraded guests room with new mattresses, new laminate wood floors, new furniture, new flat-screen TVs, upgraded cable TV, new fiber-optic WiFi. Also, we now offer a convenient Continental Breakfast which you can eat inside our Retro Room, outside at our new picnic area or just grab an item or two and get on with your adventure for the day.

When you return, spend your evening sitting on our new large patio. Enjoy the fire pits as you relax in one of the many seating areas. Gather or make friends and mingle with the locals passing by on a nice evening. Plenty of room for social distancing (if you’re still into that...).

Speaking of COVID-19, we have new housekeeping protocols vetted by our very own North Country Healthcare (NCH) hospital system. These standards will remain in place post-COVID-19. We still offer curbside check-in but we think you’ll prefer the comfort of our spacious lobby.

Once inside, plug in your electronics at our new Media Bar and grab a cup of our delicious Wayfarer coffee or a complimentary bottle of water while you wait your turn to check-in. We want you to feel welcome and safe as you enjoy the nostalgia of our Retro motel and its modern amenities.

Easy. We’re in the smack dab center of Downtown Lancaster! The motel offers 24 clean basic and now upgraded rooms where you can park your car, bike, ATV or snowmobile right in front of your door. Best of all, the exterior corridor format (walk right into your room from your car...) is very COVID-19 friendly.The motel amenities include everything the Town of Lancaster offers (Check out our EXPLORE page). Just steps to all the best restaurant, shops and entertainment options. Hiking, biking, Santa’s Village are all nearby. And yes, we have the best staff and service around! No kidding.

They’re unwinding in our new cocktail bar and cigar lounge. The Compass Rose Cocktails features classic cocktails and signature craft beers in a speakeasy setting. The Waypoint Cigar Lounge boasts a walk-in humidor and a separate smoking lounge. Enjoy both a tasty cocktail and a quality stick by the fire on the new outside patio dedicated to your cigar experience.

When the snow flies, make sure you’ve booked one of our seasonal snowmobile rental units where you can drop your trailer and your underwear as a room is included. No more towing. Leave all your gear here. Safe and economical. The cool kids are smart too!

The Lancaster Motel has historically been the best place in town to host special events. We are continuing the tradition of offering the most affordable, convenient and fun place in the area to have an event. The Retro Room, Bar and the upstairs Panorama Room are available for immediate bookings of small gatherings. Perfect for meetings, retirement celebrations, wedding rehearsal dinners, graduation parties and the like.

The banquet space will be available soon for larger events like wedding receptions, anniversary and holiday parties or to offer an educational seminar or host a conference. Renovations to this space is underway and it’ll be up and running soon! Full disclosure: all events must be catered by a licensed, insured caterer if food is involved. We all know why...
